Who We Are
John R. Rech
Pastor John and his wife Lindy have been living in the Albuquerque area since 2008. They have four children, six grandchildren, and two dogs. John is a graduate of Texas Tech University, Asbury Theological Seminary, and Perkins School of Theology. Lindy is a graduate of Grand Canyon University and is the Lead Clinical Operations Analyst for the Lovelace Hospitals in New Mexico. Some of John’s favorite outdoor activities are sailing, skiing, hiking and golf.
Born in Ghana, Jesse has lived with his wife, Marsha, in Albuquerque for over 31 years. Jesse was ordained Itinerant Elder in 2004 by the African Methodist Episcopal Church and charged in 2006 to plant a mission church, Powerhouse Fellowship, in Rio Rancho. Jesse earned a BA in Economics from the University of Ghana, MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary where he is presently pursuing Doctoral studies in Ministry (D.MIN). Jesse also comes with extensive and diversified global business and cultural experience, respectively. He has served in leadership positions with various business and community organizations in New Mexico. Jesse is a board-certified chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains, a Chaplain with Presbyterian Hospital and a member of the Critical Incident Stress Management response team. Marsha is a retired HUD Administrator and currently a licensed team member at Dompreh Ins Agency. Jesse and Marsha have two children, Jessica and Matthew, who are in graduate schools out of state.
Jim Kelly and his wife Charlene have lived in Albuquerque since 1984. Jim has 25 years of experience as a United Methodist Church Business Administrator and is a member of the National Association of Church Business Administrators. Jim and Charlene have two sons and four grandkids.
Data and Communications Administrator / Office Manager
Holly came on staff in March 1998 as a member of the Administrative Staff. She cherishes the daily opportunities to further the Kingdom of God through the administration of the church office. She enjoys studying systematic theology (especially Christology, soteriology, and theology proper), biblical hermeneutics, as well as writings from the Puritan era. Holly is involved in several animal rescue efforts, as well as working with pit bull advocacy groups -- when she isn’t at home caring for her own brood of animals! She also has a son and a daughter (both in their 20s); a four-year-old grandson, Bennett; and an infant granddaughter, Chloe Lily.
Originally from Colorado, Ashleigh moved to Albuquerque in 1998 and found her St. Stephen’s home in 2006. On the way, she has lived in California, Kansas, Texas, and Ontario Canada. She has two Master’s Degrees and teaches part-time at CNM. Having helped LaRee with the bookkeeping since her diagnosis, she feels truly blessed to be able to officially serve her St. Stephen’s family in this way.
Director of Worship and Music Ministries
Nathaniel Landon White, born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, began singing at the age of five at Hoffmantown Baptist Church. At age eight, he began guitar lessons, and at age eleven he began taking Theory, ear training, musical conducting, and basic voice. At age sixteen, Nathaniel began his career as church music director at Sandia Presbyterian Church. At age nineteen, Nathaniel released two full-length Christian albums under the label of “Audio Lab Productions.” By age twenty-one Nathaniel began studying Voice with Canadian Opera Singer Steve Gokool and spent three years as his Assistant Music Director at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church. Since that time Nathaniel has served in Music Ministry for 13 years. Nathaniel also began his career as a composer in 2006 when he was commissioned by two ensembles to write songs for their new releases. In 2007 Nathaniel transferred to the University of Denver (DU )where he studied Opera and performed such roles as “Escamillo” in “Carmen” 2009, “Papageno” in “Die Zauberflote” 2010, “Gianni Schichhi” in “Gianni Schichhi” 2011, and “Valentin” in “Faust” 2011. Nathaniel received his Bachelors in Vocal Performance from DU in 2010 and received his Master's in Vocal Performance from DU in June of 2013. While at DU Nathaniel became a Graduate Teaching Assistant where he taught voice and music theory to music minors and non-majors. Nathaniel, being known as the “musical chameleon," also possess skills to compose, arrange, conduct and can currently play 30 instruments. Nathaniel is currently married to his wife of seven years, Haley, and they have a four year old daughter, Naomi.
Jo Lynne Anderson
Director of Children and Youth Ministry
Jo Lynne Anderson is originally from Waterloo, Iowa. She is a trained Registered Medical Assistant and a frequent volunteer at St. Stephen's, the APS schools, and the Girl Scouts. She has enjoyed traveling around the world as a military spouse, having recently lived in Bonn, Germany. Jo Lynne, along with her husband Jeff and daughters Jenna and Lauren, are excited and blessed to be a part of the SSUMC family! In her free time, Jo Lynne enjoys reading, cooking, baking, being outdoors, and playing with their new Labradoodle puppy Bailey!

Scott joined the St. Stephen's staff as Facility Manager in 2013. He has 17 years experience in church facility management.
Director of Kids Under Construction, Inc. Preschool
Terri has been at Kids Under Construction since it opened in 1995. She believes God has called her into this ministry and is thankful for opportunities it has provided to be involved with the children that have attended KUCI over the years. Terri is married to Glenn and has three grown children, one daughter in law, one son-in law and two grandsons.
