Ways To Serve
Within The Church
There are many volunteer opportunities to serve Christ at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church! Every ministry, program and event at St. Stephen's depends on dedicated members who volunteer their time, talent, service, and gifts to God.
* Ushers and greeters
Do you have a friendly and helpful personality? Do you like greeting new people? We are always in need of ushers and greeters for our Sunday morning services! Ushers and greeters simply arrive 20 minutes before the service you like to attend, so the time commitment is very minimal. Ushers and greeters typically serve one Sunday per month. All training is provided. For more details, please contact Pastor Jesse.
* Audio/Visual technicians
Volunteers are needed to help set up and run video presentations for Sunday morning. Familiarity with PowerPoint and/or other presentation software is helpful, but not necessary. Training is provided! Please contact Kathy Hartman for details.
* Solid Grounds Coffeehouse cookie bakers and servers
Solid Grounds is a Saturday night community outreach ministry of St. Stephen's, offering family-friendly live entertainment, an inspirational message, gourmet coffee drinks and other beverages, and homemade cookies/treats to 100+ guests. Cookie bakers bake cookies 2-4 times a year in the comfort of your own home, and coffeehouse servers help serve coffee drinks and refreshments to our Coffeehouse guests one Saturday a month from 5:30-9:30 pm! It's very easy and fun, and a friendly and helpful personality is the only requirement -- training is provided for everything else. To be added to our cookie baker list or to learn more, or to find out more about volunteering as a Saturday night server, please contact Pastor Jesse.
