The Roadrunner Food Bank has many
opportunities to help out and volunteer. The most common volunteer experience
at the food bank is working in the warehouse in Albuquerque to prep food for
distribution. The helping hands of volunteers in our warehouse allow food
insecure homes and communities all across the state to benefit from your
Every volunteer experience is different, but every experience helps solve hunger for our New Mexico neighbors in need. All you need to volunteer is a good attitude, closed-toed shoes, and the ability to do light physical labor including standing and lifting boxes. Your help is crucial for us to continue to provide food to rural and urban communities across New Mexico.

Volunteers help the Storehouse in many ways. You can help families select food, re-pack bulk items into smaller portions for us to give away, or sort donations, for example. If you have a particular skill you’d like to share, be sure to let us know. We love to have ongoing, regular volunteers we can count on, but we understand that sometimes busy folks can only come once or twice. We welcome everyone we can.
